Biography

Zion Lutheran Loonenburg baptism record for Elsje Oct. 13 1735 gives dob and lists parents as Jochem Volkenburg and Elsje. For witnesses are stated “in the place of the father” Gerrit van Hoesen, Jacob van Hoesen and Catharina wife of Arend Becker (NYGBR 82, p. 81).

Gerrit van Hoesen was first cousin to the mother Elsje.
